Artificio: Understanding Change Logs
Whether you are auditing your data for compliance or simply curious about a recent update, Artificio’s Change Logs feature gives you a transparent, bird's-eye view of every modification made within your account.
This guide will show you how to access, filter, and understand your change logs.
What are Change Logs?
The Change Logs page is a centralized ledger that tracks who made a change, what exactly was changed, and when it happened. This ensures full accountability across your team and helps you maintain data integrity effortlessly.
Key Capabilities:
All-in-One View: See the complete history of data modifications on a single, clean dashboard.
Granular Filtering: Narrow down history by specific data views or custom date ranges.
Role-Based Security: Only account Administrators can delete logs to maintain a secure audit trail. Standard users have view-only access.
How to Use the Change Logs Dashboard
1. Filtering by Data Views
If you are only looking for updates made to a specific module (e.g., your automation workflows, integration settings, or user permissions), use the Data View dropdown at the top of the page to isolate those specific logs.
2. Applying Date Filters
Looking for an event that happened during last week's product launch? Use the Date Range Picker to filter logs between specific days and times, eliminating unnecessary noise.
3. Administrative Oversight (Admin Only)
While standard users can view logs to stay aligned on project updates, only an Admin has the authority to permanently delete log entries. This safeguards your account's history against accidental or unauthorized tampering, allowing admins to keep a reliable eye on account health.
Real-World Example: Tracking an Update
To see how this works in practice, let’s look at a common scenario.
Imagine a team member, Alex, updates the Amount for your Invoices, and you need to verify when that happened. On the Change Logs page, you would see a clear, structured table like this:
🔐 Admin Note: If you are logged in as an Admin, an additional "Delete" button will appear in the final column next to each log entry, giving you the ability to clear out old logs if necessary. Standard team members will not see this option.
