What is Auto Data Group Classification?

Auto Data Group Classification is a feature within Arificio that automatically analyzes and categorizes incoming documents (such as invoices, purchase orders (POs), contracts, or other document types) into pre-defined Data Groups.

Why Use Auto Data Group Classification?

This feature is essential for streamlining your data extraction process, providing several key benefits:

  • ⚡️ Eliminates Manual Sorting: It removes the need for human operators to review and manually sort every incoming document.
  • 🎯 Automatic Routing: Classified documents are instantly and accurately routed to the correct processing pipelines (workflows) based on their Data Group, ensuring they are processed by the right extraction models and business rules.
  • ⏱️ Increased Efficiency: It speeds up the overall document lifecycle from ingestion to final data output.

Using Data Groups in Workflows

To fully utilize the Auto Data Group Classification and ensure your data is automatically classified and processed, you must integrate Data Groups into your Arificio workflows.

Follow these steps to map the Data Group Classification within a workflow:

  1. Open the Workflow Editor: Navigate to the specific workflow you wish to edit in the Arificio platform.
  2. Locate the Configuration: Within the workflow configuration settings, look for the dropdown option labeled Application Flow.
  3. Select Default Data Group Value: Use the Application Flow dropdown menu to select the default Data Group value that should be used for documents processed by this workflow. This is a crucial step for setting up the classification routing.
  4. Send Special Instructions (Optional): You may also see an adjacent option to send special instructions about the Data Group. This feature allows you to specify additional rules or conditions that the classification engine should follow when assigning or confirming the Data Group for a document within the context of this specific workflow.

By correctly mapping the Data Group Classification in your workflows, you enable Arificio to take the classified document and immediately apply the relevant extraction and validation rules, moving your data processing to a completely automatic, touchless operation.
