AI-Driven Field Recommendations

Welcome to Artificio’s intelligent data-mapping assistant. The AI Recommendations feature helps you automate data matching and cross-referencing across different data views. By analyzing patterns and historical data, the AI suggests the most accurate source fields to populate or validate your current data view.

Overview: How It Works

The AI Recommendation engine looks at the active data view you are working on, identifies fields that require external mapping, and scans other data views to find logical matches. Within a data view in the Settings option you can proceed to create recommendations. 

A Real-World Example

Imagine you are processing an incoming receipt and want to cross-reference it with your existing invoices:

• The Goal: You want to get suggestions for the CompanyName field on a receipt.

• The AI Logic: The AI analyzes your other data views (like your master "Invoices" view). It identifies that the numerical values under InvoiceTotal in the Invoices view match the InvoiceTotal data pattern of your receipts.

• The Result: When you click Get Recommendations for that specific field, Artificio surfaces the matching data points from the Invoice data view instantly.

Step-by-Step Guide: Setting Up Recommendations

Follow these steps to configure and trigger AI recommendations for a specific column in your workspace.

Step 1: Navigate to the Target Column

1. Open your primary workspace or data view in Artificio.

2. Locate the specific column (e.g., CompanyNameor VendorName) where you want to implement AI assistance.

3. Right click on the Settings and open the recommendation and click on + icon

Step 2: Configure the Data View Reference

To help the AI learn what to look for, you need to establish a baseline reference between your data views.

1. In the settings menu, select Input Values along with Recommendation Name and description.

2. Choose Reference Data View and select the external view you want the AI to scan (e.g., matching the Receipts view to the Invoices view).

3. Select the target anchor fields that the AI should use to establish a baseline relationship.

Step 3: Fetching Recommendations in Real-Time

Once the initial mapping logic is established, users can fetch recommendations on the fly while reviewing data:

1. Click into any specific row/cell within your configured column.

2. A contextual Get Recommendations button or lightbulb icon will appear next to the field. 

3. Click the button to trigger the AI engine.

4. Review the sidebar displaying the top recommended data matches fetched from your reference views.

5. Click Apply to accept the suggestion and auto-populate the field. 

Troubleshooting & Best Practices

💡 Tip for High Accuracy: Ensure that data types match between your views. For example, if your target column is formatted as currency, the reference column in the other data view should also be formatted as currency for the AI to find the best match.

Common Issues

• "No Recommendations Found"

  • Cause: The reference data view might be empty, or the data formatting differs drastically (e.g., trying to match text strings with pure integers).

  • Solution: Check that your reference data view contains active records and that both columns share a similar data type.
