SAP AI Agent · QM · Notifications · CAPA Configurable
Design scenario · how the agent is configured to work
Why it matters
Nonconformances are logged, but root cause analysis and actions happen in emails and spreadsheets. Tasks go overdue, notifications stay open for months and the same defect comes back.
How it works
The same four steps as every Artificio agent. The agent does the research and the paperwork; your teams make the decisions.
Reads the quality notification and its defects.
Searches history for the same pattern.
Proposes root cause and actions.
Follows tasks through to closure.
Worked example
Incoming inspection finds cracks on a molded housing. Here is what the agent finds.
Both earlier cases traced to cavity 3 cooling. The cavity mark on the cracked parts is 3 on 36 of 38 parts.
| Task | Owner | Due |
|---|---|---|
| Contain: block batch and sort stock | Quality inspector | Today |
| Supplier 8D: cavity 3 cooling | Supplier quality | 13 Nov |
| Correct: 100% check on cavity 3 parts | Incoming inspection | Until 8D closed |
| Prevent: add cooling check to supplier control plan | Supplier quality | 30 Nov |
| Verify: 3 clean lots before closing | Quality engineer | After actions |
Tasks are assigned only after the quality engineer approves. The notification closes only with evidence that the actions worked.

Inside the platform
The case shows who it is waiting for, what happens next, what the agent checked and exactly what each person is approving.
Waiting for R. Gomez (Quality engineer) to approve the CAPA plan, asked Mon 2 Nov at 11:52.
Once approved, tasks are created in the notification with owners and dates, and the supplier gets the 8D request.
| Step | Owner | Status |
|---|---|---|
| Pattern and root cause | Agent | Done |
| Approve CAPA plan | R. Gomez · Quality | Waiting |
| Create tasks | Agent | On hold |
| Chase until closed | Agent | Scheduled |
Approve the CAPA plan for HS-220 cracks? 36 of 38 cracked parts are from cavity 3, the same root cause as two earlier notifications with this supplier.

Capabilities
Every nonconformance taken through to a fix that holds.
Ownership
You map defect types, materials and suppliers to owners. Whoever answers first decides, and anything unassigned goes to the quality manager.
Owners, rules and tolerances are configured to your organization and agreed for each deployment.
Controlled autonomy
The agent proves itself on your real work before it writes anything to SAP. The platform measures how often your people agree with it, so you decide when to give it more room, case type by case type.
The agent proposes every action but writes nothing to SAP. Your people decide, and each answer counts toward the agreement rate.
The required owners approve. The agent acts in SAP only when the last approval lands.
For case types you explicitly configure and approve, such as creating containment tasks for defects with a known pattern, the agent acts on its own and reports back.
Governed agent runtime
What makes this agent different is its configuration: its instructions, the tools it may use and the policies it works under. Reviewers, approvals, versions and audit work the same way for every agent you add.
Decisions go to named owners or authorized teams, with reminders, and every email links back to the case.
Gathering data is kept separate from changing SAP. Action tools are controlled and can require human approval before they run.
Versions can't be edited, and each case keeps the version it started with, so a change never alters work in progress.

What we measure
Every pilot tracks the same four measures from day one, so the business case comes from your data, not ours.
For SAP teams
The agent reads and writes data through supported SAP interfaces, without modifying standard SAP objects and without replacing your existing governance.
| Notifications | Defects, tasks and status |
|---|---|
| Inspections | Inspection lots and results |
| History | Past notifications and root causes |
| Suppliers | Supplier and batch data |
| Tasks | Created after approval |
|---|---|
| Reminders | Overdue tasks chased |
| Closure | With evidence after approval |
| Responses | Every SAP response recorded on the case |
ScopeThe exact interfaces, objects and fields in scope are confirmed for your SAP release and deployment during technical discovery. S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition is reviewed case by case, and some landscapes may need additional configuration.
Pilot approach
A focused pilot in your QA or sandbox system proves the agent on your own data before anything reaches production.
Review SAP edition, interfaces, authorizations and representative data.
Agree the notification types, owners, CAPA rules and approvers.
Work real notifications in shadow mode: the agent proposes, quality decides.
Review the four measures, then add notification types and plants.

Security & compliance
ISO 27001:2013 certified, SOC 2 Type 2 compliant, GDPR and HIPAA ready. Every agent action is logged and auditable, and SAP credentials stay in the platform's integration accounts.
