Why it matters
Quality teams retype dozens of values per certificate, compare them with specs by eye and decide lots under pressure from the warehouse and the line.
How it works
The same four steps as every Artificio agent. The agent does the research and the paperwork; your teams make the decisions.
From email or a supplier portal: PDF, scanned or Excel COAs and lab reports.
Maps each value to the master inspection characteristic in the lot.
Values each result and proposes the next step.
Records results and, where needed, defects and a notification.
Worked example
A supplier sends a certificate for a resin batch. Here is what the agent finds before anyone opens results recording.
The specification for moisture is a maximum of 0.50%. The other 17 values are within their limits.
| Characteristic | Result | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Melt flow index | 18.4 g/10min | Within 15–22 |
| Tensile strength | 182 MPa | Above minimum 170 |
| Glass content | 29.6 % | Within 28–32 |
| Density | 1.36 g/cm³ | Within 1.34–1.38 |
| Moisture | 0.62 % | Above maximum 0.50; defect proposed |
| Ash content | 30.1 % | Converted from 0.301 fraction; within 28–32 |
No results are recorded until QA confirms. The lot stays in quality inspection until the usage decision.

Inside the platform
The case shows who it is waiting for, what happens next, what the agent checked and exactly what each person is approving.
Waiting for S. Vega (QA engineer) to confirm the moisture result and the proposed defect, asked Mon 2 Nov at 10:09.
A reminder goes out at 14:09 today. Production needs this batch on Wednesday.
| Step | Owner | Status |
|---|---|---|
| Results · 17 characteristics | QA technician | Ready |
| Moisture · out of spec | S. Vega · QA | Waiting |
| Quality notification | S. Vega · QA | Draft |
| Usage decision | QA | On hold |
Moisture is 0.62% against a maximum of 0.50%. Record the defect and create a quality notification for the supplier?

Capabilities
Every certificate goes through the same checks, whatever the supplier or layout.
Ownership
You name a reviewer for each step. Whoever answers first decides, and anything without an owner goes to the QA lead.
Owners, rules and tolerances are configured to your organization and agreed for each deployment.
Controlled autonomy
The agent proves itself on your real work before it writes anything to SAP. The platform measures how often your people agree with it, so you decide when to give it more room, case type by case type.
The agent proposes every action but writes nothing to SAP. Your people decide, and each answer counts toward the agreement rate.
The required owners approve. The agent acts in SAP only when the last approval lands.
For case types you explicitly configure and approve, such as recording results and the usage decision for suppliers with a clean history when every value passes, the agent acts on its own and reports back.
Governed agent runtime
What makes this agent different is its configuration: its instructions, the tools it may use and the policies it works under. Reviewers, approvals, versions and audit work the same way for every agent you add.
Decisions go to named owners or authorized teams, with reminders, and every email links back to the case.
Gathering data is kept separate from changing SAP. Action tools are controlled and can require human approval before they run.
Versions can't be edited, and each case keeps the version it started with, so a change never alters work in progress.

What we measure
Every pilot tracks the same four measures from day one, so the business case comes from your data, not ours.
For SAP teams
The agent reads and writes data through supported SAP interfaces, without modifying standard SAP objects and without replacing your existing governance.
| Inspection lots | Lots, characteristics and spec limits |
|---|---|
| Master characteristics | Characteristics, units and methods |
| Purchase orders and batches | To link the COA to the right lot |
| Supplier history | Results of earlier lots |
| S/4HANA | Inspection results through standard OData services |
|---|---|
| ECC | A customer-approved service, delivered as a transport, where no standard service exists |
| Defects and notifications | Defects and a quality notification for out-of-spec lots |
| Responses | Every SAP response recorded on the case for resolution or retry |
ScopeThe exact interfaces, objects and fields in scope are confirmed for your SAP release and deployment during technical discovery. S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition is reviewed case by case, and some landscapes may need additional configuration.
Pilot approach
A focused pilot in your QA or sandbox system proves the agent on your own data before anything reaches production.
Review SAP edition, interfaces, authorizations and representative data.
Agree one plant, a few materials and suppliers, the characteristics and reviewers.
Run real COAs in shadow mode, including out-of-spec values and unit conversions.
Review the four measures, then add suppliers, plants and autonomy.

Security & compliance
ISO 27001:2013 certified, SOC 2 Type 2 compliant, GDPR and HIPAA ready. Every agent action is logged and auditable, and SAP credentials stay in the platform's integration accounts.
