SAP AI Agent · QM · Batch · Traceability Configurable
Design scenario · how the agent is configured to work
Why it matters
When a supplier batch is suspect, quality must find everything it went into and everyone who received it, fast. Gaps in batch links, like consumption without a batch, turn hours into days.
How it works
The same four steps as every Artificio agent. The agent does the research and the paperwork; your teams make the decisions.
Traces batches where-used and where-from.
Flags breaks in batch links.
Shows what is affected.
Gathers what a recall needs.
Worked example
A supplier warns that a resin batch may be contaminated. Here is what the agent finds.
200 KG were issued to order 1000498 without a batch. Only two batches of RM-62010 were in that location, so the order is treated as possibly affected.
| Item | Count | Status |
|---|---|---|
| Customers affected | 6 | Contacts and deliveries listed |
| Units shipped | 4,800 | By customer and delivery |
| Stock on hand | 1,240 units, 3 plants | Proposed for blocking |
| Documents | COA, inspection lots, receipts | Collected |
| Gap | 1 order, possible | Included until ruled out |
Stock is blocked and customers contacted only after the quality manager approves.

Inside the platform
The case shows who it is waiting for, what happens next, what the agent checked and exactly what each person is approving.
Waiting for H. Wright (Quality manager) to approve blocking 1,240 units in three plants, asked Mon 2 Nov at 12:31.
Once approved, stock is blocked and the package goes to the recall team. Customers are contacted only on their decision.
| Step | Owner | Status |
|---|---|---|
| Trace both ways | Agent | Done |
| Approve blocks | H. Wright · Quality | Waiting |
| Block stock | Agent | On hold |
| Release package | H. Wright · Quality | Scheduled |
Supplier batch PM-26-1019 went into 14 finished batches. Block 1,240 units still on hand in plants 1000, 2000 and 3000 while the supplier investigates?

Capabilities
Every batch traced, every gap found before it matters.
Ownership
You map plants and products to owners. Whoever answers first decides, and anything unassigned goes to the quality manager.
Owners, rules and tolerances are configured to your organization and agreed for each deployment.
Controlled autonomy
The agent proves itself on your real work before it writes anything to SAP. The platform measures how often your people agree with it, so you decide when to give it more room, case type by case type.
The agent proposes every action but writes nothing to SAP. Your people decide, and each answer counts toward the agreement rate.
The required owners approve. The agent acts in SAP only when the last approval lands.
For case types you explicitly configure and approve, such as running a monthly mock recall on a random batch, the agent acts on its own and reports back.
Governed agent runtime
What makes this agent different is its configuration: its instructions, the tools it may use and the policies it works under. Reviewers, approvals, versions and audit work the same way for every agent you add.
Decisions go to named owners or authorized teams, with reminders, and every email links back to the case.
Gathering data is kept separate from changing SAP. Action tools are controlled and can require human approval before they run.
Versions can't be edited, and each case keeps the version it started with, so a change never alters work in progress.

What we measure
Every pilot tracks the same four measures from day one, so the business case comes from your data, not ours.
For SAP teams
The agent reads and writes data through supported SAP interfaces, without modifying standard SAP objects and without replacing your existing governance.
| Batches | Batch records and splits |
|---|---|
| Movements | Receipts, issues and transfers |
| Orders | Production orders and finished batches |
| Deliveries | Customer deliveries and quantities |
| Recall package | Customers, stock and documents |
|---|---|
| Stock blocks | After approval |
| Gap reports | Sent to owners |
| Responses | Every SAP response recorded on the case |
ScopeThe exact interfaces, objects and fields in scope are confirmed for your SAP release and deployment during technical discovery. S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition is reviewed case by case, and some landscapes may need additional configuration.
Pilot approach
A focused pilot in your QA or sandbox system proves the agent on your own data before anything reaches production.
Review SAP edition, interfaces, authorizations and representative data.
Agree the products, plants, documents and approvers.
Run a mock recall in shadow mode: the agent traces, quality checks.
Review the four measures, then add product lines and monthly drills.
Frequently asked questions
Security & compliance
ISO 27001:2013 certified, SOC 2 Type 2 compliant, GDPR and HIPAA ready. Every agent action is logged and auditable, and SAP credentials stay in the platform's integration accounts.
