SAP AI Agent · FIN-FSCM · SD · Credit Configurable
Design scenario · how the agent is configured to work
Why it matters
Most credit-blocked orders are released in the end, but only after someone pulls exposure, aging and payment history from several screens. Meanwhile the order misses its ship date.
How it works
The same four steps as every Artificio agent. The agent does the research and the paperwork; your teams make the decisions.
Picks up orders blocked by credit checks as soon as they are blocked.
Summarizes the customer's credit position.
Applies your credit policy and recommends release or hold.
Releases the order once the credit manager approves.
Worked example
A $62,400 order for a long-standing customer is blocked. Here is what the agent finds.
Once this morning's payment is applied, exposure falls to $127,200, below the limit. The overdue amount is a single invoice under dispute for a short delivery.
| Check | Finding | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Limit after cash | Within limit | Unapplied payment of $41,000 covers the excess |
| Overdue items | $1,840 in dispute | Short delivery claim, open with customer service |
| Payment history | 22 of 24 months on time | Average 3 days late in the other two |
| Policy rule | Release allowed | Within limit after cash; dispute under 2% of exposure |
| Recommendation | Release | Ship date can be met |
The order is released only after the credit manager approves. The recommendation and reasoning stay on the case for audit.

Inside the platform
The case shows who it is waiting for, what happens next, what the agent checked and exactly what each person is approving.
Waiting for D. Brooks (Credit manager) to approve release, asked Mon 2 Nov at 09:11.
Once approved, the order is released in SAP and sales is told it can ship on Wednesday.
| Step | Owner | Status |
|---|---|---|
| Credit analysis | Agent | Done |
| Approve release | D. Brooks · Credit | Waiting |
| Release in SAP | Agent | On hold |
| Notify sales | Agent | Scheduled |
Release order 10045821 for Brightway Foods? Exposure is over the limit by $18,200, but a $41,000 payment received this morning brings it back within the limit once applied.

Capabilities
Every blocked order gets the same review, as soon as it is blocked.
Ownership
You map customers, regions and order values to approvers. Whoever answers first decides, and anything unassigned goes to the credit manager.
Owners, rules and tolerances are configured to your organization and agreed for each deployment.
Controlled autonomy
The agent proves itself on your real work before it writes anything to SAP. The platform measures how often your people agree with it, so you decide when to give it more room, case type by case type.
The agent proposes every action but writes nothing to SAP. Your people decide, and each answer counts toward the agreement rate.
The required owners approve. The agent acts in SAP only when the last approval lands.
For case types you explicitly configure and approve, such as releasing orders for customers within limit once today's payment is applied, the agent acts on its own and reports back.
Governed agent runtime
What makes this agent different is its configuration: its instructions, the tools it may use and the policies it works under. Reviewers, approvals, versions and audit work the same way for every agent you add.
Decisions go to named owners or authorized teams, with reminders, and every email links back to the case.
Gathering data is kept separate from changing SAP. Action tools are controlled and can require human approval before they run.
Versions can't be edited, and each case keeps the version it started with, so a change never alters work in progress.

What we measure
Every pilot tracks the same four measures from day one, so the business case comes from your data, not ours.
For SAP teams
The agent reads and writes data through supported SAP interfaces, without modifying standard SAP objects and without replacing your existing governance.
| Credit data | Limits, exposure and risk class |
|---|---|
| Open items | Overdue invoices and disputes |
| Payments | Bank statements and unapplied cash |
| Sales orders | Value, ship date and customer |
| Credit release | Released after approval only |
|---|---|
| Case notes | Recommendation and reasoning |
| Sales updates | Release or hold communicated |
| Responses | Every SAP response recorded on the case |
ScopeWorks with SAP Credit Management (FIN-FSCM) on S/4HANA and with SD credit management on ECC; the release transaction and approval levels are confirmed for your release.
Pilot approach
A focused pilot in your QA or sandbox system proves the agent on your own data before anything reaches production.
Review SAP edition, interfaces, authorizations and representative data.
Agree the credit control areas, policy rules, thresholds and approvers.
Review real blocked orders in shadow mode: the agent recommends, credit decides.
Review the four measures, then add areas and approved automatic releases.
Frequently asked questions
Security & compliance
ISO 27001:2013 certified, SOC 2 Type 2 compliant, GDPR and HIPAA ready. Every agent action is logged and auditable, and SAP credentials stay in the platform's integration accounts.
