Why it matters
Conflicts creep in one role at a time, emergency access goes unreviewed, and access reviews become a rubber stamp because managers get spreadsheets without context.
How it works
The same four steps as every Artificio agent. The agent does the research and the paperwork; your teams make the decisions.
Users, roles, authorizations, usage and emergency access logs.
Separates real risk from theoretical conflicts.
Proposes the fix for each conflict, with the evidence.
Sends reviews to the right people and removes roles after approval.
Worked example
The weekly check finds a user who can maintain vendors and run payments. Here is what the agent puts in front of the manager.
R. Diaz ran 12 payment runs in the last 90 days but made no vendor changes. The vendor role was added for a one-off task in August.
| Check | Finding | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Payment runs | 12 in 90 days | Core part of the AP job |
| Vendor changes | None in 90 days | Role added for a one-off task on 14 Aug |
| Others with the role | 4 in master data | Vendor maintenance is a master data job |
| Proposed | Remove Z_MD_VENDOR_MAINT | Removes the conflict without affecting daily work |
| Alternative | Keep with mitigation | Monthly review of vendor changes by finance |
The role is removed only after the manager decides. If they keep it, a mitigating control and its owner are recorded.

Inside the platform
The case shows who it is waiting for, what happens next, what the agent checked and exactly what each person is approving.
Waiting for K. Lee (AP manager) to decide on role Z_MD_VENDOR_MAINT for R. Diaz, asked Mon 2 Nov at 08:00.
A reminder goes out tomorrow at 08:00. Open conflicts are listed in the monthly compliance report.
| Step | Owner | Status |
|---|---|---|
| Conflict analysis | Agent | Done |
| Manager decision | K. Lee · AP manager | Waiting |
| Role removal | Security | On hold |
| Record for audit | Agent | Scheduled |
R. Diaz can maintain vendors and run payments (rule SOD-P2P-03). The vendor role hasn't been used in 90 days. Remove Z_MD_VENDOR_MAINT?

Capabilities
Continuous checks and recorded decisions, instead of a scramble before the audit.
Ownership
You name owners for teams, roles and controls. Whoever answers first decides, and anything unassigned goes to the compliance lead.
Owners, rules and tolerances are configured to your organization and agreed for each deployment.
Controlled autonomy
The agent proves itself on your real work before it writes anything to SAP. The platform measures how often your people agree with it, so you decide when to give it more room, case type by case type.
The agent proposes every action but writes nothing to SAP. Your people decide, and each answer counts toward the agreement rate.
The required owners approve. The agent acts in SAP only when the last approval lands.
For case types you explicitly configure and approve, such as removing temporary roles after their end date, the agent acts on its own and reports back.
Governed agent runtime
What makes this agent different is its configuration: its instructions, the tools it may use and the policies it works under. Reviewers, approvals, versions and audit work the same way for every agent you add.
Decisions go to named owners or authorized teams, with reminders, and every email links back to the case.
Gathering data is kept separate from changing SAP. Action tools are controlled and can require human approval before they run.
Versions can't be edited, and each case keeps the version it started with, so a change never alters work in progress.

What we measure
Every pilot tracks the same four measures from day one, so the business case comes from your data, not ours.
For SAP teams
The agent reads and writes data through supported SAP interfaces, without modifying standard SAP objects and without replacing your existing governance.
| Users and roles | Assignments, validity and authorizations |
|---|---|
| Usage | Transaction usage over a chosen period |
| Emergency access | Session logs, where available |
| Policy | Your SoD ruleset, critical access list and controls |
| Role removals | Approved removals through supported interfaces |
|---|---|
| Controls | Mitigating controls and owners recorded |
| Reviews | Access review results stored for audit |
| Responses | Every SAP response recorded on the case |
ScopeWorks with your own SoD ruleset, or alongside SAP Access Control (GRC) where you have it. The systems, rules and data in scope, including usage and emergency access logs, are confirmed in technical discovery.
Pilot approach
A focused pilot in your QA or sandbox system proves the agent on your own data before anything reaches production.
Review SAP edition, interfaces, authorizations and representative data.
Agree the process area, SoD rules, critical access list and owners.
Run checks in shadow mode and agree the top conflicts to fix.
Review the four measures, then add process areas, systems and approved removals.
Frequently asked questions
Security & compliance
ISO 27001:2013 certified, SOC 2 Type 2 compliant, GDPR and HIPAA ready. Every agent action is logged and auditable, and SAP credentials stay in the platform's integration accounts.
